West Ham ended the 2018/19 Premier League season with a run of three successive victories to finish the campaign in style after beating Spurs, Southampton and Watford.

West Ham won 15 games this season, lost 16 and drew seven to improve on their 13th place finish in 2017/18 while they collected 31 of their 52 points at London Stadium, their best return at home since moving to E20.

Manuel Pellegrini's side scored eight goals in those final three outings, conceding just one to the Hornets last Sunday to earn their top-ten finish which represents a decent season in east London and hit the minumum requirement handed down to the manager from above this season.

Pellegrini had to deal with a host of injury issues, the home draw with Liverpool back in February saw the manager have to deal with injuries to 11 first team players ahead of it but they performed very well against the big teams in the division, only Manchester City beat them twice this season from the top four finishers.

That said, Pellegrini has insisted he is happy with his tenth place finish in his first season at the helm in east London, "not so bad" was his exactl words, but he expects to improve next season.

Marko Arnautovic has finished the season as top scorer with 11 goals in 2018/19 but that doesn't really tell the story of his season, as you well know and we don't need to cover again as it has been done to death (the China thing, remember?).
