Frank Lampard admits the the upcoming match for his Chelsea side will feel very different when played in front of an empty stadium.

Chelsea travel to West Ham hoping to maintain their league form and position as they chase for Champions League football next season.

A game of this stature will be one both sets of fans will be relishing so it will feel odd to watch the match played behind-closed-doors and Lampard acknowledges that.

He said: “It will be different, in the sense that we've all seen how different it looks without fans.

“It can obviously go both ways at times, fans that support their team strongly can give them the edge.

“In tense, tough moments, it can be a different feel.

“So it takes those factors out of it really and potentially makes it more about 11 players on the pitch against the other 11 and the individual players within that.

“So I'm not sure whether it will be a positive or negative effect, it's up to us to focus on what we do on the pitch, I suppose.”
