West Ham and Chelsea face off in a huge London derby which will have a massive impact at both ends of the Premier League table.

Chelsea are riding high and look odds on to secure Champions League qualification after beating Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge last week - a result which confirmed Liverpool as champions.

Meanwhile, West Ham have lost their first two games back against Tottenham and Wolves (2-0), and sit outside of the relegation zone on goal difference alone - along with the poor form of the bottom three.

David Moyes' Hammers won't get many more chances to save themselves from the drop, and need a big result to turn their season around - but Frank Lampard's Blues cannot afford to slip up either.

Date, time and venue

West Ham vs Chelsea is scheduled for a 8:15pm BST kick-off on Wednesday, June 30, 2020.

The match will be behind closed doors at London Stadium with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

Team news

West Ham look likely to be without record signing Sebastien Haller. The striker continues to work his way back from a hip problem. He has resumed training and is "getting closer", according to Hammers boss David Moyes.

Defenders Angelo Ogbonna (hamstring) and Arthur Masuaku (ankle) have also been training but Moyes was unsure whether they would be fit in time to be involved against the Blues.

Chelsea will give Christian Pulisic and Andreas Christensen every chance to prove their fitness. Forward Pulisic hobbled out of Chelsea's 1-0 FA Cup win at Leicester on Sunday with a calf complaint, having fired two goals in two games since the sport's resumption.

Defender Christensen missed the east Midlands trip with a hip issue, but boss Frank Lampard will give both players the chance to come through late fitness tests.

West Ham provisional squad: Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Rice, Cresswell, Noble, Soucek, Lanzini, Bowen, Fornals, Antonio, Randolph, Ngakia, Johnson, Balbuena, Wilshere, Yarmolenko, Anderson, Ajeti, Silva.

Chelsea provisional squad: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Rudiger, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pulisic, Willian, Abraham, Caballero, Emerson, Christensen, James, Gilmour, Loftus-Cheek, Barkley, Pedro, Giroud.

Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Chelsea

All signs point to an away win, and much depends on how Moyes' side approach this one. The Hammers badly need a response, and a London derby may be exactly what they need to kickstart their season.

However, they will have to be firing on all cylinders given how slick Lampard's team has looked of late.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Chelsea have won 25 of 47 Premier League matches between the London rivals; West Ham have won 13, while there have been nine draws.

The saving grace for the Hammers is that they have already beaten Chelsea once this season, winning 1-0 at the Bridge back in November.
