West Ham United go into the third international break looking over their shoulder rather than ahead.

Hammers' fans were left waiting with baited breath on the extent of the midfielder's injury.

Attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini was stretchered from the field of play in the closing minutes of the defeat, with the Argentinian clutching his shoulder.

Lanzini has suffered a fractured collar bone and is awaiting surgery, the injury is expected to keep him out for around two months.

One other player on the sidelines is goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Second choice goalkeeper Roberto had a bit of a nightmare against Burnley, but the Hammers are expected to have to wait for around another six weeks before Fabianski is back in action.

The Hammers dropped to 16th place in the table ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixtures, where Aston Villa could climb above them with a victory over Midlands rivals Wolves.
