Some of West Ham's international stars were in action for their respective country's on Wednesday night with varying amounts of success.

Balbuena has played 90 minutes just three times so far this season having lost his place to Angelo Ogbonna.

That was the only competitive action for any of the Hammers players so far this international break.

Diallo was on the scoresheet for the Three Lions as he reduced the arrears to 2-1 with 26 minutes of the game played.

Robert Snodgrass, who has found himself on the fringes of the Hammers team this season and has completed 90 minutes in claret and blue just twice, played the full 90 for Scotland against Russia as the visitors to Moscow saw their Euro 2020 automatic qualification hopes ended thanks to a 4-0 thumping.

At U21 level, Conor Coventry won the man of the match award as the Republic of Ireland drew with Italy in qualifying for the Euro U21 Championships in Dublin.

Fuirther down the ladder at U17 level, Hammers teammates Amadou Diallo and Jamal Baptiste - two very highly-rated players within the academy - played for England in a 3-3 draw with Germany as preparatory fixture in Marbella, Spain.
