Manuel Lanzini may not play again this year after it was confirmed the West Ham midfielder fractured his collarbone against Burnley.

In his absence, West Ham are decidedly worse and reserve shot-stopper Roberto is struggling massively.

Lanzini will join Lukasz Fabianski in the treatment room, who is still recovering from a torn hip muscle.

The Hammers lost once from their opening six games with Fabianski in goal.

The third goal was a calamity for Hammers keeper Roberto, who was given a vote of confidence by Manuel Pellegrini on Thursday following criticism of his performances in the absence of the injured Lukasz Fabianski.

Strikers Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood celebrated their new contracts with a goal apiece in the 3-0 win, with Wood having another chalked off by VAR.

However, it could be about to get even worse long-term for the Hammers after Lanzini was stretchered off.
