West Ham United have released a statement in the wake of a video being published on social media showing a group of men singing an anti-Semitic song.

The video, which has been attributed to a small group of West Ham fans travelling to Saturday's Manchester United clash at Old Trafford was published on Saturday night - since when those involved have been condemned for their behaviour.

"West Ham United is unequivocal in its stance ? there is no place for this kind of behaviour at our club.

"We do not want people like this associated with West Ham.

And in the wake of this latest example of anti-Semitic behaviour, West Ham promised to ban any fans involved for life. "

They are not welcome at our Club, they are not welcome in civilised society."

"We are disgusted by the contents of the video circulating on social media on Saturday evening," read the unattributed statement.
