Good afternoon and welcome to live coverage of David Moyes’ pre-match press conference ahead of West Ham’s home clash with Chelsea on Wednesday night.

West Ham have lost two from two since the resumption of the Premier League while the Blues have won both of their Premier League outings and have also seen off Leicester City in the FA Cup.

The Hammers have lost 2-0 to both Wolves and Spurs since the restart as Moyes’ side continue to struggle in their battle against relegation, remaining out of the drop zone on goal difference. They have been done plenty of favours by the teams around them also struggling to pick up points as five teams scrap for their Premier League lives in 2019/20.

Chelsea meanwhile have been in good form and have beaten Aston Villa and, impressively, Manchester City in the league in a result that handed Liverpool their first Premier League title. Attacker Christian Pulisic has netted in both league games of Project Restart.

West Ham won’t have played for eight days by the time their meeting with Chelsea comes around while the Blues will have played twice since the Hammers last took to the pitch, meaning plenty of time for Moyes to work on tactics.

West Ham could welcome back Angelo Ogbonna for the game on Wednesday after missing the first two games of the restart with a hamstring injury. However, there are still doubts over striker Sebastien Haller who has a hip problem, Arthur Masuaku with a twisted ankle and Robert Snodgrass is definitely out with a back injury.

Pulisic limped off against Leicester at the weekend with a calf problem, while Andreas Christensen also missed that game thanks to a hip problem. Fikayo Tomori and Callum Hudosn-Odoi are also expected to miss the West Ham game.

Moyes has picked up just two wins in 13 attempts in the Premier League since returning as manager and will be desperate for points in midweek to get the Hammers, even if only slightly, away from the bottom three.

The manager is due to log into his Zoom press conference at 1.30pm from Rush Green and we will bring you live updates of the broadcast section of his press conference. As always, there will be a full transcript with every word the boss had to say online later this afternoon.
