West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini hopes he is still involved in management when he is 75.

The Hammers boss, 65, is set to come up against fellow senior gaffer Roy Hodgson, 71, this weekend as Crystal Palace travel to the London Stadium.

The duo are two of several experienced heads to still be in management in their later years, with Claudio Ranieri, 65, and 70-year old Neil Warnock also carrying the flag for senior coaches.

And Pellegrini, who won the Premier League title with Manchester City in 2014, hopes to still be going deep into his 70s.

As quoted by London Football News, Pellegrini said: I have been working away from my country for 20 years, and another 10 in my country before that, and I hope I will carry on for many more years.

If you ask me, I would prefer to be 10 years younger, but you can continue working in the same way if you keep yourself in good shape – and remain hungry to continue in work.
