Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has been one of a few positives in a poor season for the Bluebirds and is now reportedly a target for the Hammers as they look to strengthen their squad.

Etheridge put in some important performances throughout the campaign and did his best to help his side avoid relegation but they will be playing in the Championship next season.

Wales Online has claimed that West Ham are among numerous clubs targeting the shot-stopper as the Bluebirds face the prospect of losing their number one.

The Philippines international has enjoyed a great spell in Wales, playing a vital part in the club’s promotion to the Premier League last season.

However, if Cardiff are to sell their star man, they would want a decent offer for Etheridge to increase the funds available for Warnock to spend over the transfer window.

Following Lukasz Fabianski’s fantastic season with the Hammers, it will be hard to see Etheridge replacing the former Arsenal man.

But with the current Hammers man being 34-years-old, West Ham will be looking for a replacement for the player in the near future.
