David Moyes has completed his first transfer move since returning to West Ham as former goalkeeper Darren Randolph has re-joined the club on a three and a half year deal.

West Ham are believed to be paying a fee plus add-ons for the keeper and scratching off what Boro owe the club for when they initially signed the goalkeeper.

Randolph played 112 times for Boro after making the move to the north east and last season he kept 19 clean sheets in 48 games, making 2.7 saves per game.

The 32-year-old moves back to east London two and a half years after he left for Middlesbrough for £5million.

Moyes has been keen to sign a backup keeper ever since he arrived at the club to replace the axed Manuel Pellegrini.

Randolph joins as a backup for Lukasz Fabianski but could make his debut against Everton this weekend after Fabianski picked up an injury against Sheffield United.

David Martin is injured and error-prone stopper Roberto isn't trusted and the manager admitted when he joined a new keeper was one of his targets.
