West Ham have condemned the alleged homophobic chanting that marred their 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

"West Ham United in no way condones any behaviour that falls short of the highest standards which the Club sets when it comes to equality," a West Ham spokesperson told  ?Sky Sports.

Aaron Cresswell's sweetly struck winner sent the Hammers faithful into ecstasy, but it has now emerged that sections of the away support may have aimed discriminatory abuse at Chelsea fans during the game at Stamford Bridge.

Kick It Out have commented on the behaviour of the West Ham fans and the Irons have also released a statement, confirming they do not stand for such actions.

The game against the Gunners is an opportunity for West Ham to show their support for the whole Hammers community.

And, the club has confirmed that Rainbow Lace pitch flags, ball plinths, handshake and substitute boards will all be on show when they face Arsenal on Monday 9 December.

The Hammers travelling support are accused by ?Chelsea of homophobic chants throughout the entirety of the game but the Hammers have been quick to distance themselves from these views.
