With Aaron Cresswell putting pen to paper on a contract extension this week, three more West Ham United stars have been thought to be closing in on similar achievements.

However, according to new reports, Lukasz Fabianski, Mark Noble and Michail Antonio aren’t close to signing new contracts at this moment in time because Manuel Pellegrini wants no distractions off the pitch.

All three stars are entering the final year and a half of their deals in January are vital members of Pellegrini’s squad, but there doesn’t seem to be a rush to get them to commit their futures to the club.

Fabianski, Noble and Antonio are all deserving of new deals, especially if Cresswell is, and you’d imagine they will eventually sign on the dotted line.

Any new contract would likely be Fabianski and Noble’s last at West Ham, whilst Antonio still has a lot more to give if he can stay fit.

It’s a very exciting time to be a West Ham player and even though all three have justified getting contract extensions, the main focus should be getting results on the pitch.

It’d be a good way to celebrate achieving European qualification next year…
