Arsenal and Chelsea are the only two clubs yet to receive a red card in the Premier League this season, the fairplay table shows.

All of the 18 other teams in the division have seen at least one player receive their marching orders this season but Arsenal, sat sixth overall in the table, and Chelsea, second behind Liverpool, are yet to see red.

Chelsea have seen a total of 33 yellow cards in the Premier League this season, with only Liverpool (21) having less, while Arsenal’s number of bookings stands at 46 - with Watford, Wolves, Manchester United, Southampton and Burnley seeing more.

In the fairplay table, a yellow card is worth a single point, a second yellow is worth three points and a straight red is worth five points, which gives Chelsea an overall tally of 33 points and Arsenal with 46 points.

Given the high number of bookings Unai Emery’s side have received this season, it is surprising that none of those players earned further attention from the referee and managed to avoid an early bath.

Chelsea are no strangers to their lofty position, having finished second overall to Liverpool in the fairplay table last season.
