West Ham captain Mark Noble has had his say on the debate of who was the best out of Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes.

“All 3 were top top players in their own right but all round player Stevie G was the complete footballer.” The trio also made an impact on the international stage with England, Scholes played 66 times for the Three Lions between 1997 and 2004, while Lampard earned 106 caps and Gerrard played 114 times in an England shirt.

All three midfielders will go down as Premier League greats, making over 1,500 league appearances between them with each scoring over 100 goals in the division.

Lampard played 648 times for Chelsea and is now in the dugout at Stamford Bridge.

Noble is not too far behind, having made 495 appearances for West Ham, and the Hammers’ skipper has given his thought on who reigns supreme out of the three.

Gerrard made 710 appearances for Liverpool, while Scholes made just one less for Manchester United.

All three possessed similar attributes, which has been the source of constant debate among football fans as to which was the better player.
