Javier Hernandez insisted that he wants to start every game for West Ham - despite scoring twice from the bench in this afternoon's 4-3 win over bottom of the table Huddersfield Town.

And the three points leave West Ham just two points behind Wolverhampton Wanderers, who currently hold seventh spot in the table.

The Mexican international replaced a disappointing Marko Arnautovic - back in the starting XI today at the expense of Hernandez - before scoring twice, with his head, to turn the game in West Ham's favour.

West Ham's bid to earn European competition next season was boosted today by the injury-time win against a side who had previously scored just 15 league goals this season.

"I try to do my best to be in my best shape and give my best performances for this club - and like I said, hopefully we can finish in the top seven."

"Hopefully I can keep proving that by scoring goals, with assists and good performances - and we can try and get in the top seven."

"The Premier League is the most competitive league in the world and because of that every game, home or away, is going to be difficult," added Hernandez.
