Mario Husillos believes Pablo Fornals will complement West Ham's current midfielders perfectly and couldn't hide his delight after sealing the deal on a €27m deal for the Spanish midfielder.

"This is something that is very important for us at West Ham United now – not only a very good player but also a very good person with a good mentality.

Husillos is becoming revered in West Ham circles after taking over responsibility for the transfer business being done by the club as co-owner David Sullivan takes a backwards step from the negotiating table, though ultimately it is him that signs the cheques.

The Argentine has spoken out about the capture of Fornals as West Ham's second most-expensive signing in history behind Felipe Anderson, who will eventually cost the club £42m.

"We look forward to seeing the impact he will have in a West Ham shirt, and believe that he has all of the qualities required to become a big success in the Premier League."
