West Ham fans have been reacting on social media lately to a report suggesting we are set to rival Arsenal and Tottenham for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

When word that we are interested in Perisic was shared online, this is what some fans had to say…

Inter are still understood to be holding out for £35million, as per TEAMtalk, and they expect to receive concrete offers come the summer, which did not arrive in the winter when the Gunners’ interest was at its strongest.

It is believed Inter will be more willing to allow Perisic to move on in the summer than they were earlier in the year, thanks to the likelihood that he will not be able to match his tallies for last season.

The claims have been made by Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, who believe we have now entered the race for the 30-year-old, despite his drop in form since being linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in January.

In his 37 Serie A appearances last term, the two-footed winger found the net 11 times and created a further nine, but has only been able to score six and assist three during the current campaign from 28 outings.

Since January, Perisic has also parted ways with his former agent Fali Ramadani, who also represents Juventus’ Daniele Rugani and Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, in favour of the indirect management of the Doyen fund.
