On this week’s segment of combined XI, we focus on Wolves.

One of the more well-liked teams from last season, Wolves excited fans and neutrals alike with their attacking football and dogged performances against top-six teams.

Their performances last season gave them a well-earned Europe League spot, to which the team is flying in at the moment, qualifying from their group.

Whilst they had a slow start in the league, they have somehow sneaked under the radar and crept up into seventh, and a win midweek could see them climb even higher, depending on results.

This is in stark contrast to the performances of West Ham this season, and most Hammers fans would agree that Wolves are everything that we wish West Ham were; a young team playing exciting football with an exciting manager, and competing successfully both domestically and in Europe.

This combined XI should give an in-depth look as the quality between the two sides, and perhaps give an idea of the result on Wednesday.
