FIFA are considering the possibility of changing the dates of this summer’s transfer window because of the coronavirus outbreak.

At this moment in time, the men’s transfer window in England and Scotland will open for business on June 10.

The first conference call took place on Tuesday and included representatives from the European Club Association and the European Leagues, which includes the Premier League, EFL and SPFL.

A FIFA spokesperson told Sky Sports News: "On March 18 the Bureau of the FIFA council decided to establish a FIFA-Confederations Working Group in response to COVID-19.

Should the campaign resume at the end of April, which seems unlikely at this moment in time due to the coronavirus pandemic, it could have implications on the future of this summer’s transfer window, with dates likely to be in need of changing due to when the current season will end.

Clubs are under less of a strain to complete their domestic campaign because this summer’s European Championships have been cancelled.

Elite-level football right across Europe has come to a halt in recent weeks as the outbreak of COVID-19 has swept its way across the globe, causing mass panic and chaos to multiple countries.
