Unai Emery insists he is happy with his squad despite Arsenal slipping to back-to-back away defeats for the first time this season.

Declan Rice's first West Ham goal earned the Hammers a 1-0 victory over the Gunners at the London Stadium on Saturday.

The defeat means Arsenal have taken just two points from their last five away Premier League games, having won 13 points in the five previous away games.

"It's concerning because we need to be competitive at home and away," Emery told Sky Sports. "At home we feel good, but away we are not getting the results we want.

"Today we had to do more to impose our ideas. If we could have been more competitive with more quality we could have done better.

"It's a bad result for us, over 90 minutes we didn't deserve to lose the match because we created more chances.

"But we did not have the control we wanted, we conceded more corners and chances from which they scored. We need to impose our game more and have more control."

The setback comes days after Emery confirmed Arsenal would only be in the market for loan signings in the January transfer window.

However, Emery is adamant he has enough quality at his disposal to continue his regeneration project at Arsenal.

"Today we had players who could work," the Gunners boss added. "All we need to do is continue working and taking confidence.

"We have enough players to continue in our way, the club is working but I am happy with my players."
