West Ham boss David Moyes has revealed Jack Wilshere has suffered yet another injury setback after rolling his ankle in training.

"I don't know [if he'll remain a West Ham player], I don't know but we just have to wait and see don't we."

The midfielder was set to be involved against Charlton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night - West Ham winning 3-0 to seal their place in the third round without the former Arsenal man - but suffered his first injury since lockdown on Monday.

"I think Josh has done really well," Moyes said.

Asked why the midfielder missed the cup tie, Moyes said: "He rolled his ankle in training yesterday or he would have been playing tonight or around the squad.

Really pleased with his performance.

I think he is someone who has put himself in with a chance [of playing this season] because we're short of midfield players sometimes."
