David Moyes does not have a relegation release clause in his West Ham contract, and it is said he views his current job as a 'long-term' one.

Jack Rosser of ?the Evening Standard has now explained Moyes' contract situation, and whether he has a relegation release clause.

He added: " Moyes sees this as a long-term job, regardless of his contract and has consistently stated he wants to leave David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady with no option but to extend his deal when the time comes."

It is far from clear when//if the current Premier League season (and relegation bawill resume due to the coronavirus crisis, with English football now postponed until at least 30 April.

Rosser further added that Moyes sees his role as Hammers boss as a long-term job, and that he wants to leave the owners with no choice but to extend his deal.

The Hammers struggled to find form under Manuel Pellegrini at the start of the season, sacking him just before the turn of the year and appointing Moyes as his successor shortly afterwards.

His current deal runs until the end of next season - again, there could be ramifications there if schedules are moved around - and includes an extension options beyond that."
