Daniel Sturridge is currently banned from all football-related activity until June 17 due after breaching the FA’s betting rules.

Sturridge scored 25 goals in all competitions for Liverpool during that period, but injury problems meant that the England striker was disrupted of any sort of momentum.

The 30-year-old has not played in the Premier League since leaving Liverpool at the start of the 2019/20 season with his contract at the Reds expiring.

West Ham United could be one of those clubs, with David Moyes’ team in need of some goals.

The most important thing about Sturridge is that he is a proven Premier League goalscorer and someone who at 30-years-old, has certainly got a few years left at top-flight football.

In the past two years, Sturridge has reportedly been subject of interest from Leicester City and Newcastle United, also The Magpies are in desperate need for goals – with Jonjo Shelvey their top scorer in the Premier League – with just five goals to his name.

In the next five seasons for the Reds, Sturridge managed to net 35 times in all competitions, but became a bit-part player under Jurgen Klopp, with the emergence of Roberto Firmino.
