Mo Diame hardly endeared himself to the West Ham United faithful.

West Ham decided to post a tweet on Friday wishing him a happy birthday, however, a number of the fans decided to take it as the perfect opportunity to mock him as he was unable to join a top-six club.

“I wanted to play for a club that is high in the Premier League table,” he said.

One commented that the admin was ‘going to hell’, whilst another stated it had been a form of ‘classic trolling’.

Back in 2014, he made himself an unpopular figure with the fans in the stands after forcing a move away to Hull City claiming he wanted to play for a club higher up in the Premier League table and stated he should have left the Hammers long before he did (Daily Star).

I should have left West Ham a long time ago, as with them I wasn’t permitted to play in central midfield.

Supporters questioned how his ‘top-six move’ went, whilst some could not handle what the admin of the club’s official Twitter account was doing to them.
