Valencia is out of contract with the Red Devils and looks set to leave after a decade at the club Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Antonio Valencia on a free transfer this summer.

Valencia is set to leave Manchester United after they decided not to trigger an extension clause in his contract.

A number of clubs are understood to be interested in signing him for nothing in the summer, according to his father and agent.



Luis Valencia told El Universal: “He definitely will not continue in Manchester.

He was made the club’s captain at the start of the season but has made just five Premier League appearances and looks set to be surplus to requirements.

Stephan Lichtsteiner is out of contract in the summer and it is thought the club will not offer him a new deal.

“Not for the money, but for peace and hopefully, he told me, be hired by a team that fights for important things.” Arsenal’s first choice right-back Hector Bellerin is out for the remainder of this season and is hoped to be back for the start of the next.
